Spring Festival Travel

In this spring festival holiday, I travelled to different places to get together with my family members and did many interesting activities with them.
On the twenty-eighth day of the twelfth lunar month, I took an aeroplane from Hong Kong to Qingdao to reunite with my father and grandfather. Together with them, I visited my great grandfather and great grandmother, and spent the spring festival with my big family. On Chinese New Year Eve, we had delicious dumplings together. Mum, dad and I set off to watch various beautiful fireworks and had a lot of fun! My cousin and I made a cute snowman. I used snow for the body and head, sticks for the arms, stones for the eyes and mouth, and a carrot for the nose.
On the second day of Chinese New Year, mum, dad and I set off for Hunan to visit my grandparents and other relatives. First, we took an aeroplane from Qindao to Chansha. From Changsha Huanghua International Airport, we went to the high-speed railway station by maglev train, which can travel as fast as 603 km/h. Finally, we took an hour-long high-speed train ride and arrived at my grandparents’ home, where we had a great time.
What fun it is to reunite with family members and how convenient China’s public transportation is!
