My Dream Pet

     When I was a baby, my grandparents had a pet which was a dog. It was cute and loyal. When my grandparents looked after me, their dog also accompanied me. We went to the park together and walked the dog. We had a lot of unforgettable memories. However, their dog passed away when I was five. I still miss it so much.
      Now I am nine, I want to keep my own pet. I think I am mature enough to be a responsible owner. I can take care of my pet by myself. Do you know what pets I would like to keep? I want to keep Pacific Parrotlets. They are tiny, sparrow sized parrots which come from South America. They are intelligent, adorable and charming little birds. People often call them “Pocket Parrots” because they love hiding inside owners’ pockets. I think they are cute and I want to keep it in my pocket and take it with me everywhere. I will feed it with seeds and chat with it every day. I hope I can be a good owner and promise to love it forever.
