My Amazing Chinese New Year Holiday
I had an amazing Chinese New Year Holiday!
On 30th January, I cleaned my house with my parents and my sister. Then we put some Fai Chun on the door. We also prepared the candy tray. We put some melon seeds, candies and chocolate in the candy tray. The candies and chocolate were yummy!
On 31st January, we went to my uncle’s house. My uncle and aunt gave me some red packets. Then, I played with my cousins. We had hot pot for dinner. I was excited. It was so delicious. It was great to have hot pot on cold days! After dinner, we had the tasty glutinous rice balls for desserts.
On the first day of Chinese New Year, my uncle and his family came to our house. We prepared some rice cake and turnip cake for them. In the afternoon, we went hiking. We went to Tai Mo Shan. I saw different plants and I heard the birds’ loving singing. We were very cold there, so Dad bought us some fish balls and hot soya milk. I felt warmer after that!
Although COVID-19 has affected our daily life, we still had an amazing Chinese New Year holiday.
