Chinese New Year

     I had an unusual Chinese New Year holiday. I did not do many things with my family to celebrate the year of Tiger.

     Before Chinese New Year, I didn’t do spring cleaning. I felt a bit sad because we always had spring cleaning before. Luckily, my mom and dad still gave me red packets so I felt happy. We decorated the house with fai chun and some flowers. On our table, we had a Chinese candy box. The candies in the candy box were sweet and yummy.

     On Chinese New Year’s Eve, we had a big dinner with my family and relatives. The food was delicious. We had rice cakes, turnip cakes, longevity noodles, egg rolls and more. I ate a lot of them. My favorite food is turnip cake because it is yummy!

     I wish that everybody will be strong and healthy in this new year!
