The Ugly Duckling Retold
Hi, my name is Roy! I recently remade a lot of fairy tales, and this one is The Ugly Duckling. I want to share it all around the world. Here it is!
Once upon a time, an egg from the mother duck fell from a small cliff. It rolled and rolled, eventually rolling into a mother swan’s nest. Time passed, and the cygnets hatched, but one egg only broke, leaving an empty space inside! The mother swan panicked, as did the mother duck! I will tell you why! On the mother swan’s side, she was panicking like an overheated engine, so she ordered her best and only friend, Fish, to go find the missing cygnet.
Meanwhile, on the mother duck’s side, she had set off two minutes ago. ‘Hey, you duckling! Stop interrupting my story!’ ‘Ugh, fine…. So, where were we? Oh! Yes, um…’ the mother duck set off, trying to find her precious duckling.
The duckling was just behind a tree near the mother swan, and he said, ‘Peek-a-boo!’ because the mother swan didn’t see him. Then, the mother swan said, ‘This… mutter… IS NOT MY BABY!!!’ Just then, the mother swan saw her babies. ‘Oh gosh, sorry! I only have six babies! This one is yours!' the mother swan said. And they lived happily ever after. (About twenty minutes ago, the mother duck was panicking because she was counting her babies and realised that she had lost one!)
