The Spring Festival Holiday
During the Spring Festival holiday, I visited Malaysia with my grandmother and grandfather.
On the first day, we went to a mangrove forest. I saw many naughty, long-tailed macaques. They jumped from one tree to another and smiled at the camera. We really noticed their funny, little antics. A male brown monkey was scratching his back for his wife. They were very cute and lively.
What impressed me most was the fireflies in the forest. In the beginning, they were hiding under the leaves. When we shouted "fireflies," hundreds of thousands of fireflies suddenly flew out together. They looked like twinkling stars in the sky, which was extremely spectacular.
On the second day, we visited the Morado Cultural Village, where we saw many people of different ethnic minorities from this region. All the houses were made of straw and bamboo, and some of them were triangular, while others were square. We also watched wonderful dance performances given by the ethnic minority dancers, who were wearing colorful shorts or skirts. They looked very charming.
In the village, I learned how to make roti canai (Indian flying cake). One thing I had to do was flip the cake very quickly, so that it would be thin, which was really fun.
This vacation was amazing and unforgettable. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to another country, to experience different cultures.
