Gemini, the Twins
Every night, when you look up at the sky, you will see lots of stars. Scientists have discovered that there are about 100 billion stars in the Milky Way. Every star has its own story. Today, I am going to share with you about the mythology of Gemini, the Twins.
I think you may know that Gemini is one of the twelve horoscopes. It is my favourite horoscope because my lovely sister is a Gemini. Gemini consists of two stars, Castor and Pollux that twinkle together. Although they look identical, they have different identities. Castor is a human, while Pollux is the son of Zeus, the god of Heaven. Castor and Pollux are good brothers. They always stick together. Unfortunately, Castor was killed in a war. Pollux was very sad and begged Zeus, the god of Heaven, to save Castor. Zeus needed Pollux to give Castor half of his life and power. Besides, the twins needed to spend half their time in heaven and half in the human world. Pollux agreed and Castor could be back to life. Then they lived happily ever after.
I am so touched by the twins because they help each other when one is in trouble. This story makes me understand how precious our brothers and sisters are. We need to cherish them and treat them well.
