Egret Lake

     

      On the eighth day of the Lunar New Year, my family and friends went to Bailu Lake. We walked from Tai Po Market to Bailu Lake. On the way, we saw some monkeys eating fruit. They were funny. We walked for forty minutes. When we arrived, we saw a lot of people admiring the beautiful tulips on the left side of Bailu Lake.

      Then, we went to the right side and went to Little Egret Restaurant. We saw a beautiful peach blossom tree by the door and the flowers were pink in colour. The facilities there were gorgeous and we wanted to make a reservation for dinner there. However, it was too expensive so we finally decided not to.

      When we left the restaurant, we saw a lovely cat at the door. We were curious who raised it. The staff of the restaurant let us touch the cat. Its fur was very fluffy and warm. After that, we went to the housing estate on the left. There were some villagers selling tulip bulbs and different flowers.

      Finally, we walked along the side of Egret Lake and peacefully enjoyed the scenery there. We saw the crystal clear water of Bailu Lake and we heard the high-pitched calls of birds. We could also see the whole building of the restaurant which looked like a magnificent castle. It was really an unexpectedly beautiful, scenic spot for photo taking there.

      In the evening, we left Bailu Lake by bus saying, ‘Goodbye’ to this amazing place!
