My Chiang Mai Tour
My parents took me to Chiang Mai, Thailand during the New Year holiday.
Chiang Mai is located in northern Thailand. It has beautiful scenery, a pleasant climate and rich products. It is especially suitable for children and the elderly to live in.
I liked the night safari in Chiang Mai. There were flamingoes, tigers, elephants, lions and more. There were also wonderful animal performances. Have you ever seen a tiger swim? Have you ever seen a raccoon walk on a tight rope? Have you ever seen a porcupine cross a single plank bridge? At Chiang Mai Night Safari, you can see them all.
Feeding the elephants was so interesting. Dad bought sugar canes and bananas for us and I rewarded the elephants for their lovely tricks. I saw them stretching their trunks and scrambling for food. I stretched out my hand and a long elephant trunk snatched the sugar cane from my hand. Then it put the cane into its mouth and tasted it. All of a sudden, a baby elephant came over. I immediately gave it a banana and it ate it contentedly.
Thais believe that elephants are very spiritual animals so they all like them very much. It is no wonder that Thailand is known as the ‘Land of Elephants’.
When it comes to delicious food in Thailand, there are simply too many dishes, including my favourite mango sticky rice, seafood fried rice, chicken curry, coconut milk, sago and more. I will never get tired of eating the mango sticky rice which is so tasty.
There are many temples and night markets in Chiang Mai and my mother likes to visit them. My favourite one is the restaurant where my father took me to eat every day. There are many small animals in each restaurant and the customers enjoy feeding pigs with milk, vegetables to little white rabbits, feeding grass to goats and small fish with fish food. Once you throw a handful of fish food into the pond, these small fish frantically gather together to grab food. The pond is densely packed with fish. It was so much fun.
Although this trip to Chiang Mai is over, it left me with good memories. There was also the stray cat at the landlord’s house. I hope to see it again the next time I go there.
